This Macintosh Operating System X Version 10.5 Technology Overview (or the Mac OS X 10.5 Technology Overview as it will be referred to from here forth), along with the Mac OS X Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) provides the technical security policies, requirements, and implementation details for applying security concepts to the Mac OS X system. The initial release of the MAC OS X 10.5 STIG is a mix of both command line utilities and graphical user interface (GUI) checks and fixes. It is the intent for future releases to have more command line checks and fixes, with less GUI checks and fixes as updates to the document are made.
