CVE-2022-36879 |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.18.14. xfrm_expand_policies in net/xfrm/xfrm_policy.c can cause a refcount to be dropped twice. Published: July 27, 2022; 12:15:10 AM -0400 |
V3.1: 5.5 MEDIUM V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2022-2068 |
In addition to the c_rehash shell command injection identified in CVE-2022-1292, further circumstances where the c_rehash script does not properly sanitise shell metacharacters to prevent command injection were found by code review. When the CVE-2022-1292 was fixed it was not discovered that there are other places in the script where the file names of certificates being hashed were possibly passed to a command executed through the shell. This script is distributed by some operating systems in a manner where it is automatically executed. On such operating systems, an attacker could execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script. Use of the c_rehash script is considered obsolete and should be replaced by the OpenSSL rehash command line tool. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.4 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2,3.0.3). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1p (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1o). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2zf (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2ze). Published: June 21, 2022; 11:15:09 AM -0400 |

CVE-2021-3609 |
.A flaw was found in the CAN BCM networking protocol in the Linux kernel, where a local attacker can abuse a flaw in the CAN subsystem to corrupt memory, crash the system or escalate privileges. This race condition in net/can/bcm.c in the Linux kernel allows for local privilege escalation to root. Published: March 03, 2022; 2:15:08 PM -0500 |
V3.1: 7.0 HIGH V2.0: 6.9 MEDIUM |
CVE-2021-3772 |
A flaw was found in the Linux SCTP stack. A blind attacker may be able to kill an existing SCTP association through invalid chunks if the attacker knows the IP-addresses and port numbers being used and the attacker can send packets with spoofed IP addresses. Published: March 02, 2022; 6:15:09 PM -0500 |
V3.1: 6.5 MEDIUM V2.0: 5.8 MEDIUM |
CVE-2021-45485 |
In the IPv6 implementation in the Linux kernel before 5.13.3, net/ipv6/output_core.c has an information leak because of certain use of a hash table which, although big, doesn't properly consider that IPv6-based attackers can typically choose among many IPv6 source addresses. Published: December 24, 2021; 9:15:06 PM -0500 |
V3.1: 7.5 HIGH V2.0: 5.0 MEDIUM |
CVE-2021-40490 |

CVE-2021-22555 |
A heap out-of-bounds write affecting Linux since v2.6.19-rc1 was discovered in net/netfilter/x_tables.c. This allows an attacker to gain privileges or cause a DoS (via heap memory corruption) through user name space Published: July 07, 2021; 8:15:08 AM -0400 |
V3.1: 7.8 HIGH V2.0: 4.6 MEDIUM |
CVE-2019-25045 |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.0.19. The XFRM subsystem has a use-after-free, related to an xfrm_state_fini panic, aka CID-dbb2483b2a46. Published: June 07, 2021; 4:15:07 PM -0400 |
V3.1: 7.8 HIGH V2.0: 4.6 MEDIUM |
CVE-2020-35508 |
A flaw possibility of race condition and incorrect initialization of the process id was found in the Linux kernel child/parent process identification handling while filtering signal handlers. A local attacker is able to abuse this flaw to bypass checks to send any signal to a privileged process. Published: March 26, 2021; 1:15:12 PM -0400 |
V3.1: 4.5 MEDIUM V2.0: 4.4 MEDIUM |
CVE-2020-15436 |
Use-after-free vulnerability in fs/block_dev.c in the Linux kernel before 5.8 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service by leveraging improper access to a certain error field. Published: November 23, 2020; 4:15:11 PM -0500 |
V3.1: 6.7 MEDIUM V2.0: 7.2 HIGH |
CVE-2020-13143 |
gadget_dev_desc_UDC_store in drivers/usb/gadget/configfs.c in the Linux kernel 3.16 through 5.6.13 relies on kstrdup without considering the possibility of an internal '\0' value, which allows attackers to trigger an out-of-bounds read, aka CID-15753588bcd4. Published: May 18, 2020; 2:15:11 PM -0400 |

V3.1: 5.5 MEDIUM V2.0: 4.9 MEDIUM |
CVE-2020-10690 |
There is a use-after-free in kernel versions before 5.5 due to a race condition between the release of ptp_clock and cdev while resource deallocation. When a (high privileged) process allocates a ptp device file (like /dev/ptpX) and voluntarily goes to sleep. During this time if the underlying device is removed, it can cause an exploitable condition as the process wakes up to terminate and clean all attached files. The system crashes due to the cdev structure being invalid (as already freed) which is pointed to by the inode. Published: May 08, 2020; 11:15:11 AM -0400 |

CVE-2020-8835 |
In the Linux kernel 5.5.0 and newer, the bpf verifier (kernel/bpf/verifier.c) did not properly restrict the register bounds for 32-bit operations, leading to out-of-bounds reads and writes in kernel memory. The vulnerability also affects the Linux 5.4 stable series, starting with v5.4.7, as the introducing commit was backported to that branch. This vulnerability was fixed in 5.6.1, 5.5.14, and 5.4.29.
