CVE-2023-2985 |
A use after free flaw was found in hfsplus_put_super in fs/hfsplus/super.c in the Linux Kernel. This flaw could allow a local user to cause a denial of service problem. Published: May 31, 2023; 9:15:17 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 5.5 MEDIUM V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-34256 |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.3.3. There is an out-of-bounds read in crc16 in lib/crc16.c when called from fs/ext4/super.c because ext4_group_desc_csum does not properly check an offset. NOTE: this is disputed by third parties because the kernel is not intended to defend against attackers with the stated "When modifying the block device while it is mounted by the filesystem" access. Published: May 31, 2023; 4:15:10 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 5.5 MEDIUM V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-2002 |
A vulnerability was found in the HCI sockets implementation due to a missing capability check in net/bluetooth/hci_sock.c in the Linux Kernel. This flaw allows an attacker to unauthorized execution of management commands, compromising the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Bluetooth communication. Published: May 26, 2023; 1:15:14 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 6.8 MEDIUM V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-0459 |
Copy_from_user on 64-bit versions of the Linux kernel does not implement the __uaccess_begin_nospec allowing a user to bypass the "access_ok" check and pass a kernel pointer to copy_from_user(). This would allow an attacker to leak information. We recommend upgrading beyond commit 74e19ef0ff8061ef55957c3abd71614ef0f42f47 Published: May 25, 2023; 10:15:09 AM -0400 |

CVE-2023-33288 |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.2.9. A use-after-free was found in bq24190_remove in drivers/power/supply/bq24190_charger.c. It could allow a local attacker to crash the system due to a race condition. Published: May 21, 2023; 11:15:09 PM -0400 |

CVE-2023-33203 |
The Linux kernel before 6.2.9 has a race condition and resultant use-after-free in drivers/net/ethernet/qualcomm/emac/emac.c if a physically proximate attacker unplugs an emac based device. Published: May 18, 2023; 4:15:08 AM -0400 |

CVE-2023-2124 |
An out-of-bounds memory access flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s XFS file system in how a user restores an XFS image after failure (with a dirty log journal). This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system. Published: May 15, 2023; 6:15:12 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 7.8 HIGH V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-2156 |
A flaw was found in the networking subsystem of the Linux kernel within the handling of the RPL protocol. This issue results from the lack of proper handling of user-supplied data, which can lead to an assertion failure. This may allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to create a denial of service condition on the system. Published: May 09, 2023; 6:15:10 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 7.5 HIGH V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-32233 |
In the Linux kernel through 6.3.1, a use-after-free in Netfilter nf_tables when processing batch requests can be abused to perform arbitrary read and write operations on kernel memory. Unprivileged local users can obtain root privileges. This occurs because anonymous sets are mishandled. Published: May 08, 2023; 4:15:20 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 7.8 HIGH V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-2235 |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux Kernel Performance Events system can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The perf_group_detach function did not check the event's siblings' attach_state before calling add_event_to_groups(), but remove_on_exec made it possible to call list_del_event() on before detaching from their group, making it possible to use a dangling pointer causing a use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading past commit fd0815f632c24878e325821943edccc7fde947a2. Published: May 01, 2023; 9:15:44 AM -0400 |

CVE-2023-31436 |
qfq_change_class in net/sched/sch_qfq.c in the Linux kernel before 6.2.13 allows an out-of-bounds write because lmax can exceed QFQ_MIN_LMAX. Published: April 27, 2023; 10:15:09 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 7.8 HIGH V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-1998 |
The Linux kernel allows userspace processes to enable mitigations by calling prctl with PR_SET_SPECULATION_CTRL which disables the speculation feature as well as by using seccomp. We had noticed that on VMs of at least one major cloud provider, the kernel still left the victim process exposed to attacks in some cases even after enabling the spectre-BTI mitigation with prctl. The same behavior can be observed on a bare-metal machine when forcing the mitigation to IBRS on boot command line. This happened because when plain IBRS was enabled (not enhanced IBRS), the kernel had some logic that determined that STIBP was not needed. The IBRS bit implicitly protects against cross-thread branch target injection. However, with legacy IBRS, the IBRS bit was cleared on returning to userspace, due to performance reasons, which disabled the implicit STIBP and left userspace threads vulnerable to cross-thread branch target injection against which STIBP protects. CVE-2023-2194 |
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's SLIMpro I2C device driver. The userspace "data->block[0]" variable was not capped to a number between 0-255 and was used as the size of a memcpy, possibly writing beyond the end of dma_buffer. This flaw could allow a local privileged user to crash the system or potentially achieve code execution. Published: April 20, 2023; 5:15:09 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 6.7 MEDIUM V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2023-2176 |
A vulnerability was found in compare_netdev_and_ip in drivers/infiniband/core/cma.c in RDMA in the Linux Kernel. The improper cleanup results in out-of-boundary read, where a local user can utilize this problem to crash the system or escalation of privilege. Published: April 20, 2023; 5:15:08 PM -0400 |

CVE-2023-1829 |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux Kernel traffic control index filter (tcindex) can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The tcindex_delete function which does not properly deactivate filters in case of a perfect hashes while deleting the underlying structure which can later lead to double freeing the structure. A local attacker user can use this vulnerability to elevate its privileges to root. We recommend upgrading past commit 8c710f75256bb3cf05ac7b1672c82b92c43f3d28.
