The Oracle Linux 7 Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) is published as a tool to improve the security of the Department of Defense (DoD) information systems. The requirements were developed from the General Purpose Operating System Security Requirements Guide (GPOS SRG). The vulnerabilities presented in this document are applicable to Oracle Linux 7 Desktop and Server installations. It is assumed that an Oracle Linux 7 system is deployed in an environment supported with other STIGs including but not limited to Enclave, Network Infrastructure, and Secure Remote Computing STIGs.
