CVE-2022-39177 |
BlueZ before 5.59 allows physically proximate attackers to cause a denial of service because malformed and invalid capabilities can be processed in profiles/audio/avdtp.c. Published: September 02, 2022; 12:15:11 AM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 8.8 HIGH V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2022-39176 |
BlueZ before 5.59 allows physically proximate attackers to obtain sensitive information because profiles/audio/avrcp.c does not validate params_len. Published: September 02, 2022; 12:15:11 AM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 8.8 HIGH V2.0:(not available) |
CVE-2022-0204 |
A heap overflow vulnerability was found in bluez in versions prior to 5.63. An attacker with local network access could pass specially crafted files causing an application to halt or crash, leading to a denial of service. Published: March 10, 2022; 12:44:55 PM -0500 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 8.8 HIGH V2.0: 5.8 MEDIUM |
CVE-2021-3658 |
bluetoothd from bluez incorrectly saves adapters' Discoverable status when a device is powered down, and restores it when powered up. If a device is powered down while discoverable, it will be discoverable when powered on again. This could lead to inadvertent exposure of the bluetooth stack to physically nearby attackers. V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 6.5 MEDIUM V2.0: 3.3 LOW |
CVE-2019-8922 |
A heap-based buffer overflow was discovered in bluetoothd in BlueZ through 5.48. There isn't any check on whether there is enough space in the destination buffer. The function simply appends all data passed to it. The values of all attributes that are requested are appended to the output buffer. There are no size checks whatsoever, resulting in a simple heap overflow if one can craft a request where the response is large enough to overflow the preallocated buffer. This issue exists in service_attr_req gets called by process_request (in sdpd-request.c), which also allocates the response buffer. Published: November 29, 2021; 3:15:07 AM -0500 |

CVE-2019-8921 |
An issue was discovered in bluetoothd in BlueZ through 5.48. The vulnerability lies in the handling of a SVC_ATTR_REQ by the SDP implementation. By crafting a malicious CSTATE, it is possible to trick the server into returning more bytes than the buffer actually holds, resulting in leaking arbitrary heap data. The root cause can be found in the function service_attr_req of sdpd-request.c. The server does not check whether the CSTATE data is the same in consecutive requests, and instead simply trusts that it is the same. Published: November 29, 2021; 3:15:07 AM -0500 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 6.5 MEDIUM V2.0: 3.3 LOW |
CVE-2021-3588 |
The cli_feat_read_cb() function in src/gatt-database.c does not perform bounds checks on the 'offset' variable before using it as an index into an array for reading. Published: June 09, 2021; 11:15:07 PM -0400 |
V4.0:(not available) V3.1: 3.3 LOW V2.0: 2.1 LOW |
